Tottori earthquake: Deaf group explains current state of Deaf evacuees

Japanese Federation of the Deaf President Ishino Toshisaburo visited Tottori Prefecture Office in western Japan on November 4 and handed over a gift of money for the people hit by the recent earthquake in the prefecture central part to Governor Hirai Shinji. (photo: center)

Ishino has visited Kurayoshi-shi, the city hit by the disaster, on November 3, and asked 30 Deaf persons about worries, etc. 

He pointed out that there are Deaf persons who can't get information on the earthquake correctly at any time, too." Ishino told Governor that the Federation has the idea to dispatch sign language staffs.
