Bus company introduces video relay service on iPad

November 7, 2016

The Western Japan JR Bus introduced a VRS system using iPad, called "FACE touch me," at a bus ticket center in Osaka and Kyoto on November 7.

The attempt is the first time at a main bus terminal in Kansai area according to the bus company.

By the new service, a foreigner, an operator and a ticket staff communicate using a video via an application. This system also corresponds to three languages (English, Chinese and Korean) and Japanese sign language.
