Shuttle bus with wrong direction fails Deaf students at bus stop

March 9, 2015

Akita-shi, Akita Prefecture:

On March 9, it was found out that the shuttle bus that departed the JR Akita Station east entrance showed the wrong destination by mistake.

At least 4 passengers including two students of the Prefecture School for the Deaf were waiting for a bus at the east entrance stop, but failed to  pick them up. The Akita-chuo Traffic Company moved around a substitution bus in 15 minutes late.

The company said that when a male driver input six digits of number and indicated the destination he made a mistake in the number.
